Splitting up
Krystal and Fox had entered an ancient Krazoa temple, looking for one of the Spellstones. The place was huge and the two felt it would be better to split up, in order to be more efficient with their task.
There were some signs of Sharpclaw activity in the nearby area and within the temple itself, but the two were confident in their own abilities to fend off any potential hostiles that could lie deeper within.
Some time had passed after our heroes separated in the temple. Krystal had been wandering the temple halls without running into anyone, but was keeping a constant vigilance in case she'd encounter any danger. The place was almost like a maze, each room and corridor looking barely undistinguished from one another, but nevertheless, Krystal didn't feel lost and was confident she was making progress.
She did wonder though how Fox was doing, worrying that maybe separating in a such a maze like environment wasn't the greatest idea, but also knowing that they didn't have that much of a choice in the matter, since time really wasn't on their side considering the state of the planet.
"Would've been nice to have him take the lead too if we hadn't separated. Could've enjoyed the nice view" she jokingly thought to herself.
Soon after she came to a crossing, with stairs leading up on her left and another hallway with corner turn to her right. Without thinking much, Krystal decided to take the route towards the stairs, but suddenly something peculiar and oddly familiar caught her eye around the corner of the other direction.
"Is that Fox' weapon?" she wondered while halting her walking.
Suddenly she could also hear some strange noises coming from that same direction. As she was beginning to turn and go investigate, a guard could be heard coming down the stairs...
Can Krystal save Fox from his predicament?
