I really wish all of TurboRenegade's stuff wasn't 10fps. It would be good if the framerate wasn't dogshit

Ah you don't need to worry about that. Just play it at 6x speed and you'll get a whopping 60fps!

  • Legitimate question here, and I'm really not trying to be disrespectful, but what is the purpose of the low FPS aesthetic? I could understand something like a VHS or CRT filter because it's trying to imitate media from another era, but what is low FPS suppose to achieve? It's just obstructive to the viewing experience.

    It's a style thing.
There's a valid argument to be made that maybe in a sex animation it's not using it to its full potential but that's besides the point.

With the right keyframes, you can get this nice motion that's easy to read and takes advantage of your brain filling in the blanks.
You can take complicated, fast movement and if you break it down into proper keyframes, you can convey everything that happens in a very easy to follow low framerate that counterintuitively adds more clarity.
Theory is theory, this is best shown with a more practical example

I suppose. In the example you posted, it works because the video has a variable framerate. Some scenes are low FPS to emphasize movement and action. I'd argue that most of TurboRenegade's animations don't really use it to any particular effect, it's just a gimmick for the sake of having a gimmick, and people are attracted to it out of sheer novelty. Again, I'm really trying hard to not come off as disrespectful, but I don't understand TurboRenegade's choice to do this. It doesn't work with the way that they implement it.

It looks like this post's keyframes were interpolated, which generally looks better at a more common framerate (e.g. 24, 30).

I think the following is a better example (on e6 no less) of using slow-in-slow-out to achieve the effect you're describing.
