Seriously, Leo needs a blow of humility and learn how to work with a team.
Tristan has potentially good scouting skills since he was able to find the cave with that snowstom and also spot the withered tree.
We still need to see the extent of Nigel's ablity to have visions that may be useful in the future, and bit by bit I think he is becoming less toxic.
Chili cooks, can potentially be a healer with herbal medicine and also tries to support the team.
Miralle is trying her best to keep the team together and is also a good fighter.

Leo's attitude reminds me of a few people at work lol

Leopold's attitude reminds me of X-Men Sunfire in its early days.
Good fighter but sour, hostile and always ready to fight even when it's not necessary.
This will only change when he manages to see some value in his colleagues.
And the scene reminded me of The Lord of the Rings, where Gandalf and the others are going through a blizzard on the Mountain and have to choose between a dangerous route and the balrog.

Leopold is one of the members of the group from whom we have seen the least of his personality and history.

We saw the motivations and origins of Miralle, Chilli, Tristram and Nigel.
But practically nothing from Leopold, other than the day he and Miralle are appointed to become guardians.

Well, apparently we know who's bringin' the sass, Leopold.
Hopefully, we can get Nigel something better to wear in the meanwhile too, he's only got that hooded mantle he wears. The team's gotta come out of this cave AND this nite as a stronger team, or they could be in dire straits.. they're definitely not alone in there.

We did see some of Leopolds past and motivation in that guardianship. His father basically had a long breakdown after the death of his mother and did nothing much to raise him while in depression while Leopold desired to be strong to never get to that state. Along with the desire to Avenge his mother. Though you are right in that we don't see much more then that and have to extrapolate from such circumstances.
