when this comic started, i was a completely different person. over the course of this comic i got a job, met many people, found happiness, and lost it all again. my life has changed in every way, except for reading this comic every week. the one night went on for so long, many things i didn't see coming, and i even eventually forgot it was about volleyball! this last week has been a fantastic way to end it off, and although i didn't always leave a comment, im glad i could come back here every week to see you all. thank you funkybun for being in my life, i cant wait to see what more you have to bring for us all <3

Crazy that this comic has been going since before I started transitioning, and now I'm mere days away from hitting 1 full year on hormone therapy (and about 13 months transitioning overall). Wayyyyy back on page 59 I wrote a comment about how feminizing HRT does in fact soften the skin, but I hadn't experienced it yet - now I can confirm that my skin has gotten so soft and smooth, just like Rose's! Transition is by far the best choice I've ever made, but of course it's been a challenging process too. I often struggle with feelings that my body is undesirable, and that I'll never find anyone who is attracted to me. Even when I do get to show skin and feel sexy I still have to be so diligent to hide a part of myself that I don't want other people to see or think about. To see a character like Rose that is just like me sharing her whole self and being loved for it is genuinely really powerful. I love that this comic not only respects Rose for who she is but also upholds the dignity of trans people as sexual beings, in a world where our displays of sexuality are regularly mocked and scrutinized. I'm lucky enough to have lots of supportive friends and this comic encourages me that maybe someday I can find people who will love me romantically as well. Thank you funkybun for making such excellent stories and I will look forward to whatever you come up with next :)

You know what's crazy? In 30 years people will still be discovering your work like discovering a new band. Old stuff wasn't great so you're like, part of the foundation of high quality comics.

Well, they do say "if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all." If you still think you can't comment on these without breaking the rules, that might be the optimal route to take. Bummer that we can't just get along, tho. Drama is such a teenager thing, y'know?

But, it would be nice to get a warning next time, say in a comment specifically for me.

That wasn't confirmed, she might just not be allowed to play or any number of things, but she was also talking about not being a part of the men's team.

I can’t believe it’s over. I came into this after reading some shorter ones from you but holy shit. I felt on edge the *whole* time. I didn’t realize this was gonna be 100 pages. As soon as you got the momentum going there was barely any slow moments. Like I said, on edge the whole time. I’m surprised I didn’t explode the *second* I picked up speed. This was an amazing comic with amazing writing. I love all the subtle details and build up. I basically fell in love with the characters by the end. Amazing work.

Awwnh, I'm actually sad to see this end. It's like getting your favorite show canceled. I hope there's eventually another season on this one... :3
