This was rendered in September of 2022, I just didn't want to post it till I made The Crash sequence. And then I forgot to actually post it whoops

Renyu survived her crash landing, but the loss of her forearm paled in comparison to the mental anguish of losing her entire family. The recovery process took a few months, something Renyu wasn't used to with Avali being so technologically advanced.
For weeks, Renyu teetered back and forth between uncontrollable sadness and numb depression. She couldn't sleep, eating was difficult, she couldn't do anything. Nothing would bring them back and she hated it.
The only thing keeping her even a little bit sane was that Wickerbeast (a species she had not encountered before) that had saved her, Asher Sterling. The wicker had visited her every day, even slept at the hospital on more than one occasion, all to keep her company and to make sure she was okay.
And on days like these, when she couldn't hold in her emotions, couldn't stop herself from crying, he'd try his best to be there so she wasn't completely alone.
Even if she couldn't focus on that much, it did help.
