The Avali are an avian species that superficially resembling a cross between a large rabbit and a velociraptor, Avali stand bipedally, with digitigrade poise. They are covered from head to toe in feathers of varying length, possess two large wings with rudimentary digits at the wrist/hand enabling them to manipulate objects dexterously, while also possessing 4 long, rabbit-like ears. They prefer to gather and work together in packs.

The Avali can be identified with these traits: oval shaped heads; large eyes; four ears; three fingers, tri-pronged talons; large wing feathers connected to their arms; and long cartilage whip like tail. They are canonically typically between 60cm (2 feet) and 120cm (3 feet, 11 inches) tall.
