Story
Galen has some seriously bad luck. But making things worse is his bad eyesight. These two flaws interact in interesting ways.
Like that one time he stumbled into a Dickworm nest inside a dark shed. He looked at the parasites and couldn't recognize them as Dickworms because of how dark it was. He only figured out what they were when they infested him the moment he sat down.
Galen soon learned that his infestation was of a permanent variety. He would be stuck with it for the rest of his life. Shiva'thir even marked his belly with the equivalent of a biohazard symbol.
He did not enjoy the idea of laying eggs once a month, every month, almost like clockwork. And Shiva's comment about the eggs being edible when cooked did not help.
