Mheetu was supposed to be in a early draft of 1991 of The Lion King (called "King of the Jungle" at this time) together with a whole gang of friends to Simba and Nala but got cut as whole parts of earlier drafts got abandoned in favor to the 1994 story.
This decision was not only du to rewrites of the story, but also because the creator of Mheetu and the 1991 draft "King of the Jungle", Linda Woolverton, felt the inclusion of Mheetu would turn the whole story far too dark, even comparing it to a concentration camp.
Biography (if he were in The Lion King 1994)
This biography depicts Mheetu's life as if he were a comic character like Tama, Malka, Kula, etc. as he get's seen in most artworks involve him. This is a rough community-agreed biography.
Early Life
Mheetu was born to Sarafina. He has an elder sister named Nala. The family lived in the Pride Lands as members of Mufasa's pride.
Under Mufasa's regim
Mheetu grows a friendship to Simba as well as the other cubs. The details in this depictions differ to artists interpretation. Some favor a more teasing manner between Simba and Mheetu, even reaching to a sort of friend enmity. Other potray Simba as Mheetu's role model and very good friend

Under Scar's regim
After Mufasa's death and Simba's presumed death, Nala takes a more protective manner towards Mheetu. As the conditions under Scar's regim worsening and food becomes scarcer, Nala not only has to protect Mheetu from the hyenas but also gives her best to provide food. Du to Mheetu's clear absence as well as the absence of any male lions when Simba returns as abult later, most depictions by artists either imagen Mheetu getting send away with the other cubs, or getting killed by either Scar or his minions.
Adulthood
After Simba reclaimed the throne, Mheetu returns to Pride Rock to reuniting with her bigger sister Nala and mother Sarafina.
Biography (as intended in the 1991 draft "King of Jungle")
This biography depicts Mheetu's life as intended in the 1991 draft King of Jungle by Linda Woolverton This biography is not canon.
Early Life
Mheetu was born to Sarafina. He has an elder sister named Nala. The family lived in the Pride Lands as members of Mufasa's pride.
Nadra's gang
As a cub, Mheetu was a member of his sister Nadra's gang, alongside a bat-eared fox named Bhati. Meanwhile, Simba's gang consisted of Timon and Harold. The friends often played Kopje, or "King of the Hill," together.
Mufasa and Simba save Mheetu
Scar managed to lure a young Mheetu into a wildebeest stampede in the gorge. However, his real intentions were to get an adolescent Simba killed. Simba risked his life to save Mheetu, but it was Mufasa who ultimately saved the two from the stampede.
Under Scar's regim
When Scar's poor reign resulted in a drought and famine, Nala struggled to protect Mheetu from Scar's hyena minions.
Physical appearance
There isn't a official appearance because Mheetu got cut from the movie very early. However, the existing concept art depict Mheetu in differ colors, the very first depict him with bright red-orange fur and a black nose while later depictions have dark, golden fur, a black nose and green eyes. Uncolored sketches even potray Mheetu with a very Scar-like nose and extremly fluffy fur.
Community-agreed colors
Du to the lack of official colors the community agreed on a color sheme. A light tan fur and even lighter tan belly and paw fur, which itself is a lighter tan than Nala has. His tail tuft, eyebrowns and mane fur is a lighter, more grey-brown color than Nala's tail tuft. His nose is grey-pink tone, more pale than Nala's nose. Mheetu's eye color matches Nala's green eye color.
