Groping is the sexualized rubbing, feeling, or grabbing of another character's body in a sexually invasive or dominating way. Unwanted groping is a form of sexual assault.
Groping differs from fondling in that it applies to more firm actions such as grabbing that involves squeezing a body part in a sexualized way. These actions commonly show parted or spread fingers as artists will try to portray the touching across as wide of a surface area as possible. This contrasts with most acts of fondling which will keep the fingers mostly together to instill the feeling of a softer, more tender interaction.
Groping may involve fondling, but usually should not be tagged together unless the scene enters the questionable consent territory.
Groping commonly involves the crotch, balls, breasts, and butt.
