Ginga Densetsu Weed is an anime series, the sequel to Ginga Nagareboshi Gin. The title is often shortened to GDW, Ginga, or is known by its English name, Silver Fang.

The anime series is based on the manga series by the same name. The original 21 episodes were first broadcast in 1986, the new (sequel) 26 episodes were broadcast in 2005.

The fighting & adventure anime is popular with furries because of its talking non-anthro dog characters.

The main characters include Gin (grey), an Akita Inu, the hero of the first series. Weed (blue), an Akita/Kishu, Gin's son and the hero of the second series. Kagetora (green, black stripes) and his brothers, Kai kens, sons of the Kai brothers. And Jerome (black, white, grey), German Shepherd, a trained guard dog and assassin.
