Here's another comm for Playdog565656 featuring the Blur Blur and two of my top five favorite Sonic gals! The one who can play around in the Himalayas for hours, and the other one the size of an average human mother! #RIPGuptil89
It's been a hot minute since I've got to work on anything featuring Sonic characters, and I can't remember the last time I drew Blaze at all. Anyway, Playdog came to me for a simple Cell Shaded piece and I went a little ham. This time around we have three variants largely at my own pitching. The original comm just called for a cell-shaded three-way featuring Sonic, Blaze, and Vanilla. But I suggested adding a corner panel that showed off the penetration so you don't miss anything. Taking it a step further I went ham on Sonic Rush style effects themed after the Sonic vs Blaze fight near the end of the game for that panel.
This version keeps the close up shot, but strips away the boost Gauge UI from Sonic Rush so you can see everything. Check my gallery for the other variants.
Also, have fun picking the references to sonic games littered around the background. There's even more in the version without the upper close up panel.
