A friend said maybe my fatigue comes from spending so long getting every little thing to feel "perfect" to me. I usually take 8-9+ hours on every piece, agonizing over the details, the colors, making sure everything is perfect. They suggested I fiddle with the pencil brush and try a more "crayon" style, something that CAN'T be made perfect, to train myself out of needing everything to be just right.

So this is my first attempt at that, letting go of my perfectionism. I'm still pretty proud of this piece, and it's just one of the ones I'm working on today <3

In my opinion this is an incredibly hard thing to do, but you'll be amazed by how much it helps you improve in the long run! It's far too easy to get caught up on all the little details that prey upon your mind during your work, but ultimately it'll slow you down and make it so you're not actually iterating on your work, merely overfocusing on smaller and smaller individual aspects that pay off less and less as you spend time trying to pin them down.

You already have a great, solid style with really nice proportions on the bodies (and paws, rrrrr) that'll only get better and better as you allow yourself to be more fluid as you go. Rooting for you!!
