i feel like their pearl options are way too far apart in the milestones. Probably wont even get to the furry pearl option, unless they plan to add the options over time afterwards.

The developer has said a couple things regarding that.
#1 Everything is planning on being added to the game. Up to the $100k stretch goal. The 250k and 500k are still up in the air, depends on how well they do on game sales after the release.

#2 The starting PeasrDymes will be voted on by the supporters on a private forum after the deadline, so it is very possible that the furry dyme will be one of the starting ones, even if there's no stretch goals hit.
In fact, the more furries support the project, the more likely to be enough votes to have it as one of the starting options.

So if you like the look of the game, please feel free to throw some money at it.

Oh, that's actually pretty cool. Might have to throw some money at it then. Wasn't too sure about there only being like, 3 or 4 characters at first, but if thats what they're planning, this could be some good stuff.

You have to account for cross breeding too, so minimum starting is actually 6, if we get the 1st stretch goal that'll jump to 10, 15 with 5 pearls etc.

And, if someone's cool enough to drop 5k on it, they can add their own dyme that's pretty much anything they want.
