This story is based on a lost picture that comes from an odd source (for me at least).

Namely Kevin Duane...

The story goes that back in March 2001 I managed to attend the one Furry Spring Break con in Orlando. I got table space at the con, thanks to Mike and the guys at Shanda Press--but there was a catch...

The space was between Duane and Groat...

Talk about being stuck in no-man's land...

Anyhoo, Duane was complaining about artists who promise him work and claim "can t'ink on nottin'" to draw and how he would always suggest to them to "draw lesbian unicorns playing chess". According to him, they would go out of their way to avoid drawing it.

I took it as a challenge.

Now I refused to draw for KD in the past after being burned by him at AC #1 but I did it anyways just to take up the challenge. KD paid me $20 for the original even though I did it for my own fun. I later found out he lost it.

I somehow in the year that followed I somehow recalled the challenge being "two lesbian goat girls playing chess" and then saw DAQ's picture of a cute bottemless pony-tailed goat girl pulling up a sweater over her breasts and immediately remembered KD and his 'chess problem'. The goat girl became the model for Nanny while an anime girl from a "How to Draw Manga" became the model for Grace's clothing, hair, and build.

The rest is history...

    They are playing Strip Chess. In otherwords when one loses a piece of their peons, popes and blah they strip. And at the end you can think of what they will do =P
